  1. Yeah but you can’t lower prices by enacting a law. You’ll just drive out suppliers and cause rationing or force them to compromise quality.

    But yes I don’t get why plumbing is so expensive.

  2. Typo. I meant 0:28.

  3. This was the title card for “The Lucy Show”, and it’s first season on CBS, and syndication(not first-run syndication, just reran episodes). That little “space” between 3:28, and 0:33 was where the original product’s sponser was mentioned, and displayed. Then, it went to the actual commercial.

  4. Funny line about ‘socialized plumbing’. A rare political jab for Lucy because back in ’62 socialized medicine was a HUGE topic. I can think of a few plumbers I wish offered ‘socialized plumbing’ for their pricey services! LOL
    It’s also good to see that them actually interacting with their kids in this early show. What would Lucy think about today’s teens with cells they carry to the bathroom and everywhere else?LOL
